Samui Top Pick- Angthong National Marine Park

Angthong National Marine Park is not just a Samui highlight, it has to be up there with one of the best things to do whilst in Thailand. Angthong translates as ‘golden bowl’ and is made up of 42 tropical Thai islands, all of which are uninhabited and undeveloped apart from one.

All of the islands consist of breathtakingly beautiful limestone mountains which are around 10-400 meters above sea level. You may recognise Angthong from the famous movie ‘The Beach’ which was filmed here as well as the Phi Phi islands in Phuket.

Snorkelling:

Angthong has many great boat trips which will stop off and allow you to explore the marine life below. Angthong is known for its stunning caves with an abundance of variety of fish, coral and aquatic life. With no experience required, snorkelling offers an easy, safer alternative to scuba diving and Angthong couldn't be a more perfect place to start your passion for underwater exploration.

Kayaking:

If you want to get closer to the to the limestone formations just appearing out of the crystal clear blue water which surrounds this marine park, then Kayaking provides just that! A fantastic way to explore the waters yourself or in pairs, adding that extra bit of

adventure to a great day out.

Koh Wua Talap View Point:

Looking for that perfect holiday shot? Sun, sea, and a backdrop to impress? Congrats- you're in the right place. Any trip to Angthong will stop off at Koh Wua Talap. A 30 minute climb to the top of this island offers 6 different viewpoints along the way, and wow do these views inspire. Boasting a birds eye view over the park, the view points at Koh Wua Talap are simply draw dropping. Making you constantly question ‘How can water be so blue’ this short hike is certainly worth it. When you reach the top, views of the emerald lake (The Green Lagoon) are breathtaking. The beach below is perfect for topping up the tan or refreshing in the crystal clear waters.
