Bali has a multitude of Beach Clubs, Rooftop Bars and Nightclubs offering an event on every night of the week with affordable drinks and world-class musical acts. If you prefer to party in your shorts and a t-shirt due to the tropical weather or wish to dress fancy in your favourite garments, Bali will leave you feeling you’re right at home.

The Cost of a Night Out in Bali

If you enjoy drinking beer you will find the local beer, Bintang, from as low as £1 - £2.50 in many local bars, with imported beers costing from £3 - £6. Many local bars and clubs also offer 2 for 1 cocktail deals and are cheapest from 7-9pm when most restaurants and bars offer ‘happy-hour’ offer.

If you would prefer to drink at a well-known beach club such as Cocoon or Potato Head be prepared to pay a slight premium with a beer costing anywhere from £5-12 and around £6 for a cocktail.

Best Party Locations

Due to Bali’s close proximity to Australia, Japan and Singapore and its continuous stream of international visitors, Bali has developed a thriving world-class nightlife scene. Much of Bali’s nightlife begins after midnight, but also offer cheap drinks from 7-9pm as part of happy-hour which is offered at most restaurants and bars.

Kuta vs. Seminyak

Kuta is a location which generally attracts a younger, luxuriant with extravagant nightclubs, cheap drinks and multiple musical entertainment genres including the Top 40, House, Hip-Hop and R&B. Whereas, in Seminyak you will find a more refined group of clubbers, where the majority of expatriates hang out. The focus in Seminyak is on stunning party venues and top o the line sound systems, hosting international DJs, playing House, Techno, Dubstep and other musical genres. Drinks in Seminyak are also of a higher standard, made by skilled bartenders and imported alcohols.

Kuta/Legian

Sky Dome Super Club Bali

The Sky Dome Super Club is part of the 61 Legian Entertainment Complex, the main nightlife hotspot in Legian with its single building housing 7 different venues throughout its five floors. Only a short taxi ride away from Seminyak and Canggu, this club is where partygoers visit after enjoying the all-you-can-eat buffet in the famous Sky Garden Rooftop Lounge. Included in the ‘Top 100 Clubs’ by one of the world’s top electronic dance music and DJ publications, Sky Dome has hosted some of the world’s best performers, including Afrojack, Steve Aoki and Blasterjaxx, to name but a few. There’s a headlining DJ almost every night, from Monday to Sunday, and regular tickets are from IDR 150,000 (approximately equivalent to £8) at the door.

Bounty Discotheque

Bounty is a legendary nightlife spot, famous for its ‘wet n’ wild’ parties – mostly attracting a young crowd of Aussies looking for a place to go on a late night party and get loose. This one-stop entertainment complex is complete with an expansive discotheque, restaurant and bar where you can enjoy booze with fashion shows and DJs who converge to provide thrilling sights and sounds. Inside you will discover the fully air-conditioned hull interiors where you can order some booze at one of the three bars, from cold beers starting at IDR 50,000 (£2.70), to brightly-coloured liqueurs and buckets of cocktails from IDR 60,000 (£3.30) which they serve in ‘buckets’. Entry here is free for all partygoers.

Seminyak

Mirror Bali Lounge and Club

Mirror Bali Lounge and Club welcomes night owls to its hip lounge and party venue in Seminyak. The venue’s design is similar to a Gothic cathedral, with a glittery wall designed décor, stained glass windows and towering ceilings. Laser lighting systems provide you one of the coolest and most immersive spaces to dance your late evenings away to deep bass, house and hip-hop. Heinekens are priced at IDR 70,000 (£3.80) and Coronas IDR 90,000 (£5). Whenever you’re feeling peckish, bites to order include beef kebabs, quesadillas, calamari and fries, ranging from IDR 45,000-150,000 (£2.45 - £8.16). Mirror Bali is one of Seminyak’s most premium hangouts. For its ‘lounge’ part alone, seats are mostly reserved and only available through booking, while a dedicated VIP section starting from IDR 2 million (£108), offering the most premium comforts, enabling you to look down over the excitement below.

Jenja Club Bali

Club Jenja Bali is a late-night party venue in Seminyak with a stylish interior spread out over its two floors. The club opens its doors nightly from 9:00pm. The club features a lounge area called ‘Up at Jenja’, while downstairs features the bar and main party space. One wall bears a massive floor-to-ceiling mosaic of stained glass which provides a warm interplay of colours as a backdrop to the lounge and party scenes on both floors. A staircase descends to the bar and clubbing area and as the night continues the mood gets livelier. Resident DJs and producers Mamsa, Wisdy and Heidy regularly host at Jenja Club with a good dose of techno and house music. International guest DJs feature almost weekly. Headliners including some of the top names in EDM. The dance floor revs up with state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems. The club is open from Wednesday through weekends and a dress code of ‘casual chic’ applies.
