Here are some of my favourite activities to do while in Bali. You should definitely add some, if not all of them onto your to do list when visiting this amazing place.
Sekumpul Waterfalls

Sekumpul is perhaps one of Bali’s most scenic locations at offer. Amongst the green bamboo forests, the waterfall is made up of 6 to 7 narrow cascades. Take a beautiful nature trek through the Namesake village located in the upland regions of Buleleng Regency to reach this amazing spot. Sekumpul is one of the most accessible waterfalls in the area, however getting to it still requires a fair amount of commitment. You may choose to trek one way leading to gazebos where you can appreciate the views from a distance, or you can get take the other forest/village path which takes you right to the pool at the bottom of the fall. The trek took us about two and a half hours to complete but was definitely worth it at the end. This is a must visit spot for all nature, landscape and photography enthusiasts.
Diamond Beach

Hidden just beyond a huge cliff, Diamond beach on Nusa Penida was previously unaccessible to the public. However, thanks to the locals, a newly built stairway now means you can enjoy the breathtaking views and sand under your feet. Huge rocks decorate the ocean making this one of my top Instagram picturesque locations. There are also car parks nearby which is handy if you want to drive there.
Gili islands

Okay so not quite located in Bali but located on the Northside of Lombok, the Gili islands are a chilled out two and a half hours boat ride away. Upon arrival, take a deep breath as engines are not permitted on the island keeping the air nice and fresh. The island is pretty small, I was able to jog round in 30 mins. However, this tiny island is packed with many spots worth exploring + an amazing nightlife.
Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary

Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary aka Monkey forest is a nature reserve and Hindu temple located in Ubud. The reserve is sectioned off with temple walls and the forest area is considered sacred. Before visiting, I had heard and read of many horror stories about people getting attacked by the monkeys. However, upon visiting I quickly came to the conclusion that as long as you stick to the rules, there is nothing to worry about.
Water Rafting

Bali Canyon tubing takes you on an exhilarating ride down a small stream of water within the rainforest ravine located up in the highlands of Payangan. This rafting is different from the one in Ubud as you get to ride in your own raft. No need for paddles, just a helmet and life jacket and you’re ready to go. The Siap stream is a small course beginning from the village of Kerta. The ride down is packed with scenic views and wildlife to keep you entertained. Expect to have your heart rate raised as you pass through rocky plunges reaching speeds up to 40km.
All though there are many many more activities to do in Bali, these were some of my favourites. I hope this blog has provided you with some ideas on what you can do during your visit.
Enjoy your travels!
